MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2007--Marcus Theatres Corporation, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS) today announced that its new one-of-a-kind entertainment destination, The Marcus Majestic Cinema, will open its doors at 9:00 P.M. this evening in anticipation of its first movie showings at midnight of Spider-Man 3. The highly-anticipated Majestic Cinema is located in the town of Brookfield, Wis., a Milwaukee suburb.

"We are thrilled to announce the opening of the new Marcus Majestic Cinema in Brookfield. The Majestic is a unique entertainment destination that will appeal to a variety of audiences. The 3,100 seat theatre features rocking seats with memory foam, 16 state-of-the-art stadium seating auditoriums and two of our signature 72-feet-wide UltraScreens(R). Audiences will experience the magic of the movies on huge screens with cutting-edge digital sound and crystal, clear sharp images," said Bruce J. Olson, president of Marcus Theatres(R).

"But that's just the beginning. The new Marcus Majestic Cinema features the AT&T Palladium, the area's most unique, luxury(R) entertainment and comedy club. Here, guests can experience an outstanding in-theatre dining experience in a cabaret-style environment while enjoying the latest Hollywood blockbuster, comedy act, concert or live performance. The extensive menu has something for everyone, including an outstanding selection of beer, wine, cocktails and specialty drinks. We are excited to welcome nationally known comedian Kathleen Madigan as the headline performer at the opening of the AT&T Palladium on May 4, 5 and 6," said Olson.

"Adjacent to the AT&T Palladium is the Take Five Lounge, where guests can wine and dine in a trendy, adults-only cocktail atmosphere. We will feature a hand-selected premium wine list, a full array of specialty drinks, a wide-selection of beers and cocktails and delicious food," added Olson.

"To enhance the dining experience, we've teamed up with four premium Wisconsin brands. Our guests will be able to enjoy Zaffiro's famous thin-crust pizza at our pizza parlor, and freshly roasted Stone Creek Coffee, hand-dipped Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream and delectable chocolates and candy from the Fun Factory Sweet Shoppe at our cafe and ice cream shop," said Olson.

"The Majestic experience begins in the elegant art-deco styled lobby, complete with relaxing music from the Essex grand piano, dramatic curved grand staircases and custom-made movie-themed murals painted by Wisconsin artist Chuck Weber," added Olson. He noted the Marcus Majestic Cinema will offer other unique amenities, including valet parking, party rooms and a babysitting service.

Olson also announced that today is the last day of operations of its nearby West Point Cinema in Brookfield.
