Yahoo! News chronicles wounded veteran and Hanger Clinic patient Kyle Earl's life with new prosthetic hand

Kalamazoo, Mich., July 12, 2012 – Earlier this year, Yahoo! News and Dr. Richard Besser, ABC News Chief Health and Medical Editor, brought wounded U.S. Veteran Kyle Earl to Hanger Clinic in New York City where he met with Hanger clinician John Rheinstein and Hanger’s Vice President of Upper Extremity Prosthetics Troy Farnsworth to learn about the latest in prosthetic technology. The visit was part of Yahoo! News’ “Remake America”, a weekly video series chronicling the lives of several families as they strive to get back on track to achieve “the American dream”, while allowing viewers to offer ideas and solutions for the issues facing Americans today. After learning about the various prosthetic options during his visit to Hanger Clinic, Earl decided he would give a prosthetic hand a try. He was recently fit with a microprocessor-controlled prosthetic hand by Hanger Clinic Upper Extremity Specialist Craig Jackman and Kalamazoo, Michigan-based Hanger Clinic Prosthetist Lissa Adams.
