SANTA ANA, CA, July 14, 2008 - Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology distributor today announced donations totaling $55,000 to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, to assist in China's earthquake relief efforts. Employees from around the world donated money, which the company matched. All donations were given to their respective local Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies which ensured that the funds were sent through the International Red Cross and ultimately received by the Red Cross of China for its relief efforts. "We are thankful that in China, none of our employees or their families were injured by the earthquakes. Ingram Micro's employees wanted to help with relief efforts, so they organized donation drives. Their generosity will benefit many who were impacted by this devastation," said Alain Monie, president and chief operating officer of Ingram Micro Inc., and former president of Ingram Micro Asia Pacific. "Donations from companies like Ingram Micro enable the Red Cross to assist victims by putting food on their plates, shelter over their heads, and places to sleep after a disaster. This type of financial support is critical to disaster relief efforts in China," commented Stanley Perdue, chief executive officer of the American Red Cross of Orange County after receiving the corporate office's donation.
