Biography PhotoG. Sam Kamel
Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy

Sam Kamel is senior vice president corporate strategy for Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s leading technology distributor and supply chain services provider based in Santa Ana, Calif. As a member of Ingram Micro’s worldwide executive team, Mr. Kamel is responsible for planning, market analysis and business development, with particular emphasis on emerging technologies and adjacency opportunities. He will focus his technical expertise on growing Ingram Micro’s business and capabilities in new markets through strategic planning and front-line execution. Kamel joined the company in October 2010.

Prior to joining Ingram Micro, Kamel served as senior vice president, strategic business development at Fox Networks Group where he was responsible for new business opportunities, joint ventures and acquisitions. He joined Fox after serving as general manager of business operations at Microsoft International, based in Paris, France, where he led operational and strategic planning, public relations and marketing, and the country manager community for the $20 billion global sales and marketing operations employing 17,000 people. There he improved the sales operations efficiency and execution and integrated several acquisitions while also leading the development of multi-year strategic plans.

He has also held general management and corporate development positions at various technology-related companies, including E-LOAN, Autodesk and Netscape, and was an associate at McKinsey & Company. Kamel began his career as a lieutenant in the United States Navy.

Kamel holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard University.
