William D. Humes serves as chief operating and financial officer of Ingram Micro Inc., a Fortune 100 company and the world’s largest technology distributor and supply-chain services provider. Mr. Humes has responsibility over the company’s worldwide finance operations, information systems, global logistics operations and global business processes. He was named to the position in April 2012.
Prior to being named to the position, Mr. Humes had served as the company’s senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, with oversight of worldwide finance operations including financial planning and analysis, controllership, internal audit, tax, treasury and risk management. He began in that role in April 2005. Before that, he held the positions of Ingram Micro’s senior vice president and chief financial officer designee from October 2004 to March 2005, corporate vice president and controller from February to October 2004 and vice president and corporate controller from February 2002 to February 2004. He joined Ingram Micro in 1998 as senior director, worldwide financial planning, reporting and accounting.
Before joining Ingram Micro, Mr. Humes was at PricewaterhouseCoopers for nine years, where he took an accelerated path to senior manager. During his tenure at the firm, he was responsible for managing all aspects of professional services to numerous multinational and technology-sector companies.
Mr. Humes, a certified public accountant (inactive), is based at Ingram Micro’s corporate headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics-business from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa honoree.
