Izzo to Succeed Hatches as President of ENSTAR

PORT HURON, Mich., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Anthony M. Izzo has been named to succeed Barrett Hatches, who resigned effective today, as President of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company, a division of SEMCO ENERGY, Inc. Hatches has accepted a position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO). He will facilitate a transition period through the end of March.

William L. Johnson, SEMCO ENERGY Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, made the announcement.

Before being named Vice President of Engineering and Operations of ENSTAR in December 1999, Tony Izzo had served as City President of the Battle Creek, Michigan, Gas Division of SEMCO ENERGY, where he was responsible for all aspects of gas distribution operations for customers of the western Michigan city. His 20-year career in the industry also includes experience at New Jersey Natural Gas Company as General Manager of Distribution & Construction.
