Lila R. Bradley Named Vice President of Human Resources And Public Affairs of SEMCO ENERGY, Inc.

PORT HURON, Mich., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- SEMCO ENERGY, Inc. today announced that Lila R. Bradley has been named Vice President of Human Resources and Public Affairs.

William L. Johnson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SEMCO ENERGY, Inc., made the announcement.

"Lila Bradley has earned this promotion with her impressive display of talent during her tenure at SEMCO ENERGY," Johnson said. "It is a pleasure to see her become a member of the senior management of this Company."

Bradley, who joined the Company in 1998, succeeds Barrett Hatches. He was named President of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company in Anchorage, Alaska. Bradley had been Director of Human Resources for SEMCO ENERGY GAS COMPANY.

Before joining SEMCO ENERGY, she was a Manager for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. She started her railroad career with the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway and remained with the company following its merger into Burlington Northern Santa Fe. She also worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Kansas State University.

She earned her degree in Human Resources Management and Business from Friends University in Kansas.

While in Kansas, she received the Governor's "Volunteer Recognition Award," and the "Volunteer Center Spotlight" from the Volunteer Center of Topeka. She has been named Woman of the Year by the American Business Women of America and was selected for the Leadership Topeka and Leadership Kansas programs, among other honors. She also chaired the 1999 SEMCO ENERGY United Way campaign for the Michigan United Way chapters.
