Barry was appointed chief operating officer in 2012 and president of ScottsMiracle-Gro in 2010. He is responsible for the Company's worldwide portfolio of consumer brands and products. He has accountability for overall leadership of all aspects of the global consumer business including Marketing, Sales, Research and Development, and Supply Chain. He is also responsible for the Company's Scotts LawnService business.

Before this appointment, Barry was executive vice president of the North America Consumer businesses, a position he held since September 2007.

Barry joined ScottsMiracle-Gro in 2001 as senior vice president, Global Business Improvement. He later held leadership positions in Sales and Supply Chain for the North America consumer business, and as head of Global Technologies and Operations.

Prior to ScottsMiracle-Gro, Barry was with the former Ernst & Young consulting organization for 10 years, specializing in operations management.

He has a bachelor's degree in business from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and an MBA from the University of Dayton (Ohio).
