|Brunswick’s Opens Today and Donated $3,260 to Wounded Warrior Project|
Exclusive preview event last night showcased upscale bowling, dining and craft beers before today's opening
MARIETTA, GA. (June 14, 2013) - Brunswick's, a new upscale bowling and entertainment center in Marietta opening today, Friday, June 14, hosted an exclusive preview benefiting Wounded Warrior Project on Wednesday, June 12. More than 150 guests - including Marietta Wounded Warriors - bowled 326 strikes for which Brunswick's donated $10 per strike, raising $3,260. Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit group dedicated to providing unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. Guests enjoyed bowling in the active and welcoming environment while savoring innovative culinary offerings from Tavern '45 and local craft beers.
"We're thrilled to introduce our new Brunswick's concept to the Atlanta area and honor the dedication and sacrifices of our veterans," said Brunswick Bowling Retail president Jim Fox. "We were privileged to have local Wounded Warriors join us for this special evening, specifically Navy veteran Lance Waldrop who kicked off the fundraising by rolling out a ceremonial bowl."
The 40,000-square-foot location features completely remodeled interiors designed by Chipman Design Architecture with upgraded bowling equipment and inviting décor to encourage socialization and connection including plush furnishings and mood lighting. In addition to an enhanced bowling experience, guests can enjoy innovative cuisine from Tavern '45,crafted around distinctive American pub fare with a focus on unique, quality ingredients. Perfect for sharing, small plates include the signature chicken & white bean chili and Vietnamese pork belly tacos as well as arugula and goat cheese salad. Entrees include Thai red curry chicken hand-stretched pizza, Tavern '45 mac and cheese with a potato chip crust, grilled wild salmon with herb butter and mango salsa and a variety of burgers and panini sandwiches. Completing the culinary experience, Tavern '45 will offer a full bar with a focus on local craft beer including Sweetwater, Terrapin, Monday Night, Red Brick, Mother Earth and Lazy Magnolia. Beer enthusiasts can enjoy multiple flavors with flights of any four drafts. In addition, guests can sip on cocktails such as the "Bootlegger's Choice" with Crown Royal, Cointreau, cherry bitters and lemon juice.
