FOND DU LAC, Wis., Oct. 14, 2010 – Mercury Racing has launched a blog on the Mercury Racing website, www.mercuryracing.com/blog, and an official Mercury Racing page on Facebook, www.facebook.com/Mercury.Racing.FB.
With over 70 years of dedication to high performance marine propulsion, Mercury Racing has always appreciated the value of close relationships with its customers. Many of those relationships were founded over decades of on-site support at powerboat races and special events throughout the world. Now the company is providing OEM boat builder partners, dealers, racers, consumers and enthusiasts an opportunity to interact with Mercury Racing through newly established social media channels.
The Mercury Racing Blog provides visitors with a continual flow of information from the Fond du Lac, Wis., based company. In addition to late breaking news – future blogs will include such topics as product updates, service tips, racing & event news and “blasts from the past,” highlighting Mercury Racing’s colorful history of over 70 years of dedication to high performance marine propulsion. Mercury Racing Senior Marketing Manager Rick Mackie, blog administrator, will be supported by a staff of contributing writers from various departments of the company – including Mercury Racing President Fred Kiekhaefer, son of Mercury Marine founder – the late Carl Kiekhaefer.
Customers and enthusiasts alike are also encouraged to interact with Mercury Racing via the company’s new Facebook page, the official source of interactive news and information from the world leader in high performance marine propulsion.
