|Boston Whaler Reaches Two Million Hours of Working Safely|
Edgewater, Fla. (June 30, 2010) – The Boston Whaler manufacturing headquarters has reached an exemplary milestone: Two million hours without a lost time accident.
It took Boston Whaler employees almost three years of working safely to reach the two million hour mark, with the last lost-time recordable incident taking place in July of 2007. The plant has reached one million hours without a lost-time incident twice before, but this is the first time in the 23 year history of the Edgewater, Florida-based plant that Boston Whaler has achieved two million consecutive working hours without a lost-time incident.
“Reaching two million hours without a lost-time incident is an outstanding accomplishment and I sincerely thank and congratulate our employees for their diligence and hard work,” said John Ward, president at Boston Whaler. “We believe it is every employee’s responsibility to create and maintain our safe working conditions and I am very pleased with the commitment to the high safety standards and record at our facility.”
To commemorate the achievement, Boston Whaler will celebrate with a plant-wide cookout and gifts for the employees.
