Mr Jonathan Hekster

Jonathan Hekster is the Regional Head of the DBS Partnership for Manulife in Asia. He has a degree in Finance and Accounting and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has lived in Asia for more than a decade, first in Jakarta and currently in Singapore. Jonathan is married with two children. He believes financial services should be more accessible, simpler and more intuitive for everyone and sees financial education and planning as a key instrument to achieve this.
Mr Jeremy Soo
Managing Director, Head of Consumer Banking Group Singapore
Jeremy Soo joined DBS in 2003 and is currently the Managing Director and Head of DBS Consumer Banking Group in Singapore. He oversees the DBS, POSB, Wealth Management networks and distribution, ATM/digital/mobile channels as well as all key consumer related products and services in Singapore.
Jeremy is instrumental in the digital transformation of DBS Singapore’s consumer banking business. Under his leadership, the consumer banking business rolled out several first-in-market innovations, including DBS SMS Q, POSB Cash-Point and DBS FasTrack. The business has also shown consistent revenue growth and gains in market share across most segments – no small feat given Singapore’s highly competitive banking landscape.
Prior to his current position, Jeremy was the Head of Secured Loans, responsible for DBS Consumer Secured Loans with portfolio covering products relating to mortgages for residential & commercial properties, Auto Loans Financing, Secured Overdrafts and Share Margin Finance.
Jeremy has 30 years of consumer banking and finance experience. Before DBS, he spent 18 years with Citibank Global Consumer Banking Group, Singapore as the key management staff primarily responsible for Consumer Lending.
A Singapore citizen, Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management (Economics) from the University of London.
Ms Lorna Tan
The Straits Times
Lorna Tan is the Invest Editor and Senior Correspondent at The Straits Times. She helms the Invest section of The Sunday Times which covers personal finance issues. She has been with The Straits Times for 12 years. During this period, she won numerous awards for excellence in business reporting, such as the Financial Journalist of the Year award given by the Securities Investors Association of Singapore (SIAS) in 2007. That was her third award from SIAS, having won the Financial Story of the Year award in 2005 and a Special Award in 2003.
In 2006, Lorna was runner-up in the Excellence in Public Journalism category in a contest organised by Hong Kong-based Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA). Two years earlier, she won a SOPA award for excellence in business reporting. In 2010, she was recognised by the Financial Planning Association of Singapore for promoting financial literacy and raising awareness of industry developments. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) and an MBA. Lorna is the author of Talk Money and More Talk Money.
Prior to returning to Singapore Press Holdings in June 2015, she was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at CapitaLand Limited for four years.
