John Seely Brown has been a director since June 2004. Mr. Brown has served as a Visiting Scholar and Advisor to the Provost at the University of Southern California since 1996 and as Independent Co-Chairman of the Deloitte Center for the Edge since 2006. He was the Chief Scientist of Xerox Corporation until April 2002, and director of the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) until June 2000. Mr. Brown has served as a director of Corning Incorporated since February 1996, and of Varian Medical Systems, Inc. since February 1998. Mr. Brown was a director of Polycom, Inc. from August 1999 through August 2007.
