Charles River Associates (CRA) Announces Vice President Promotions

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 9, 2015-- Charles River Associates (NASDAQ: CRAI), a worldwide leader in providing economic, financial, and management consulting services, today announced that Aaron Dolgoff in the Finance Practice, Robert Goldman in the Intellectual Property Practice, and Yianis Sarafidis in the Antitrust & Competition Economics Practice have been promoted to the role of vice president.

Aaron Dolgoff specializes in securities valuation, damages, corporate finance, financial markets analysis, and complex commercial litigation. He advises on litigation and regulatory matters requiring specialized finance and valuation expertise. His experience includes securities litigations, international arbitrations, compensation disputes, regulatory investigations, and commercial contractual disputes. He has worked across a range of industries in the health care, financial services and asset/investment management, manufacturing, business services, consumer services, commodity, and agribusiness sectors. He has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder since 2007. He holds a MA degree from The Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies, a BSE degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania, College of Arts & Sciences.

Robert Goldman assists clients in developing and implementing strategies for managing and realizing value from their intellectual property portfolios. He advises on the valuation of intellectual property and intangible assets, with a focus on patent portfolios, for business transactions that include licensing and sales transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Goldman also performs IP analytics research to assist clients in making informed IP-related decisions. His litigation experience includes the valuation of patent portfolios in bankruptcy, determination of reasonable royalties and lost profits in patent infringement matters, valuation/damages in technology license disputes, and damages in trade secret misappropriation matters. Mr. Goldman presents and teaches about IP valuation and portfolio assessments at law schools, including Northwestern University School of Law, and is a speaker and instructor at Licensing Executives Society (LES) workshops and conferences. He holds an MBA degree in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and MS and BS degrees in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Yianis Sarafidis is an antitrust economics expert recognized for his specialized skills in economic modeling and econometrics. Clients have sought his expertise on merger simulation, market definition, bargaining theories, vertical arithmetic, and parallel accommodating conduct. He maintains an active profile in the antitrust community through speaking engagements and publishing, including a recent article in Antitrust Law Journal regarding the competitive analysis of cross-market hospital mergers. Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Sarafidis served on the faculty of INSEAD and Yale University. His academic research in behavioral economics seeks to make sense of seemingly irrational behavior, such as the behavior of contestants on the popular game show Deal or No Deal. A native of Greece, Dr. Sarafidis holds PhD and MA degrees in Economics from Yale University, and a BA degree in Economics and Mathematics from Grinnell College.
