THQ Kicks Off WrestleMania(R) 22 Weekend Tonight in Chicago With Fourth Annual THQ Superstar Challenge
Premiere Video Game Competition at House of Blues to Feature World Wrestling Entertainment(R) Superstars and a Performance by Atlantic Records Recording Artist Shinedown

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., March 30, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- THQ Inc. (Nasdaq: THQI), on behalf of THQ/JAKKS Pacific, LLC, will take over the House of Blues in downtown Chicago this evening for the fourth annual THQ Superstar Challenge. A total of 16 elite Superstars from World Wrestling Entertainment will challenge one another in a no-holds-barred competition featuring THQ/JAKKS Pacific's critically acclaimed WWE(R) SmackDown(R) vs. RAW(R) 2006 video game for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system.

About The THQ Superstar Challenge

The fourth annual THQ Superstar Challenge takes place tonight at the House of Blues in downtown Chicago at 6:00 p.m. A total of 16 Superstars will compete in a bracket-style tournament to crown the ultimate competitor on THQ/JAKKS Pacific's WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2006 video game. Reigning Challenge champion Shelton Benjamin(TM) will defend his title while his fellow Superstars threaten to steal the show and earn the ultimate bragging rights.

Following the video game competition, Atlantic Records hard rock recording artist Shinedown will take over the House of Blues stage. Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, Shinedown is currently touring in support of Us And Them, the band's second album and follow-up to its 2003 platinum debut, Leave A Whisper.

The THQ Superstar Challenge is open to the public. Tickets are $20 each and available through Ticketmaster and HOB.com.
