Liberty Property Trust Ends 2014 with Lease Transactions Totaling More Than 275,000 Square Feet in South Florida

Tenant Retention Remains High Entering 2015


BOCA RATON, FL – February 6, 2015 – Liberty Property Trust today announced that it has executed twenty leases in the South Florida region in the fourth quarter of 2014. The quarter was marked by eleven new leases and nine renewals. 


“Our team continues to work hard resulting in an excellent fourth quarter and a strong close out to 2014,” said Andy Petry, vice president and city manager for Liberty’s South Florida region. Our region’s overall occupancy rate remains strong at 90%.


New leases in the region include:


  • An undisclosed tenant has signed a new lease for 140,400 square feet of space at Miami International Tradeport, located at 11150 NW 122 Street in Medley.
  • Consorcio Promoting Latin America, LLC signed a new lease for 25,557 square feet of space at the Turnpike Distribution Center, located at 11401 NW 134th Street in Medley.
  • SEA Ltd. signed a new lease for 16,143 square feet of office space at Fort Lauderdale Commerce Space, located at 5410-5430 NW 33rd.
  • Bertling Logistics, Inc. has signed a new lease for 3,429 square feet at Huntington Square III, located at 3350 SW 148th Avenue in Miramar.
  • SuperStone, Inc. has renewed its agreement for 2,988 square feet in Building 4 located in Powerline Park.
  • Sterling & Sterling Insurance, LLC signed a new 1,830 square foot office lease at Boca Colonnade, located at 777 Yamato Road in Boca Raton.


Notable renewals in the region include:


  • All Moving Services, Inc. has renewed its lease agreement for 20,699 square feet of office space at the Pompano Business Park, located at 1400 SW 6th Court.
  • Linde Gas North America LLC has renewed its 12,000 square foot lease at 1405 SW 6th Court in Pompano Beach.
  • Claims Reimbursement Specialists, LLC renewed its 3,099 square foot lease at Paragon Business Center, located at 951 Broken Sound Pkwy.
  • North Star Seafood, LLC has renewed its agreement for 3,308 square feet in the Powerline Park, located at 3032 NW 25th Avenue in Pompano Beach.
  • Sherco Auto & Marine Supply has renewed its lease for 3,180 square feet at Building 4, located at 3014 NW 25th Avenue in Powerline Park.
  • Fashion Textile, Inc. renewed its 3,082 square foot lease commitment at 3050 NW 25th Avenue in Pompano Beach.
  • Brazil USA Imports Corp has renewed its 2,970 square foot lease at 3000 NW 25th Avenue.
  • Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. has renewed its lease for 2,335 square feet at Huntington Square I, located at 3400 Lakeside Drive in Miramar.


Liberty’s South Florida portfolio consists of 12 office buildings and 28 industrial buildings, which total 3.3 million square feet.  In addition, Liberty is currently underway with its development of Miami International Tradeport, a $135 million dollar industrial park investment which will offer approximately 1.6 million square feet of industrial space.
