Liberty Property Trust Employees Stock Shelves and Prepare Meals for Boca Helping Hands on the 11th Annual Bill Rouse Day of Caring

BOCA RATON, FL – June 20, 2014 – On Liberty’s national day of service in honor of its founder, Willard “Bill” G. Rouse III, the company’s South Florida office worked at Boca Helping Hands, a nonprofit charity that provides food and emergency assistance to families, homebound disabled and elderly individuals.

“This is the second year we have partnered with Boca Helping Hands on Bill Rouse Day of Caring,” said Andy Petry, vice president and city manager of Liberty Property Trust’s South Florida region. “We are proud to continue to support its commitment to serve community members in need of food and various resource programs, and its mission to provide compassionate service designed to instill dignity and to help break the cycle of dependence.”

Seventeen Liberty employees rolled up their sleeves to work in the organization’s kitchen, food center and warehouse to prepare meals, serve lunch, clean dishes, hand out pantry bags, pack groceries and stock shelves.

For more than a decade, Liberty Property Trust employees have honored the memory of company founder Willard “Bill” G. Rouse III with a national day of community service.  It is traditionally observed on the Friday closest to his birthday, June 19, and celebrated by over 400 employees in the company’s more than 20 offices in the US and UK.
