HAMPTON ROADS, VA – July 12, 2011 – Liberty Property Trust (NYSE:LRY) today announced that it has signed 6,726 square feet of new leases and 95,199 square feet in lease renewals and expansions for office and warehouse space in Hampton Roads during the past quarter.

“Tenant retention was the anchor of our leasing activity this past quarter,” said Craig Cope, vice president and city manager at Liberty Property Trust. “We are pleased to accommodate growth requirements for several of our long-term tenants and help each company expand and relocate within our portfolio.”

Liberty renewed leases with eleven existing tenants including Crescent Recovery (for 23,424 square feet) at Battlefield Tech Center I in Chesapeake; SSAI (for 30,755 square feet) at Oxford Plaza in Hampton; DeVry (for 15,852 square feet) at Liberty III in Chesapeake; EMG (for 5,577 square feet) at Westmoreland in Virginia Beach; and Kimley-Horn (for 5,028 square feet) at Lake Center I in Chesapeake.

Liberty’s new tenants in the region include Adaptive Methods (for 1,841 square feet) and DHL (for 3,433 square feet) both at Lake Center I in Chesapeake; and Merrill-Lynch (for 1,452 square feet) with the addition of a new Wealth Management Group at its existing location at Reflections III in Virginia Beach.
