BOCA RATON, FL – October 26, 2010 - Liberty Property Trust (NYSE:LRY), today announced that it has signed 75,467 square feet of new leases and approximately 169,000 square feet in lease renewals and expansions for industrial and office space in South Florida during the past quarter.
Among Liberty’s newest tenants are: Protec Fuel Management, LLC; American Exhibitions, Inc.; Toll Brothers, Inc; and Caltrop Corporation. In addition, Liberty renewed leases with existing customers including P.K Graphics & Printing, Inc.; Cummins, Inc.; Manart Hirsch of Florida, Inc; and Southern Specialties, Inc. Tenants that expanded their current space include Nationshealth.
“In good times and bad, our existing customers as well as new companies continue to seek reliable partners and we are encouraged by the volume of lease transactions during the past quarter,” said Andy Petry, vice president and city manager at Liberty.
Earlier this quarter Liberty hosted NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties), media and invited guests at its Economic Development Summit. An open forum was held at Liberty’s Sunset Plaza building in Sunrise, to discuss current and future economic development in South Florida.
