HOUSTON, TX - July 12, 2010 - Liberty Property Trust (NYSE:LRY) today announced it has received an International TOBY (“Office Building of the Year”) award at the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) for its Legacy Center Business Park located in Northwest Houston. The award recognizes excellence in property management.
“It is a tremendous honor to receive this award and to be recognized as an industry leader among our peers from North America,” said Joe Trinkle, Liberty’s vice president and city manager for the Houston region. “This award is a testament to our property management team which has been laser-focused on reducing operating expenses while maintaining excellent property conditions and operations for our tenants.
The 2010 international award presented to Liberty was received in the industrial office park category and Liberty was the only company to be recognized in this class. Attending and accepting the award for Liberty was Property Manager Kristin Murillo, who is responsible for the day-to-day property management operations of Legacy Center Business Park.
BOMA sponsors the annual competition and criteria include all facets of a building's operations, including operational efficiency, tenant relations, community involvement, emergency evacuation processes, continuing education for building personnel and overall exceptional service. To win the international award, the office buildings first won both local and regional competitions.
