Sally Preston to Lead Initiative as EVP, Media Sales and Marketing
NEW YORK, October 26, 2010 -- Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. (MSLO) today announced plans to streamline its media sales and marketing team. Going forward, each member of the team will sell across all of the company’s media platforms, including Print, Digital, TV and Radio. Sally Preston, who is currently MSLO’s Group Publisher, will be leading this initiative as EVP, Media Sales and Marketing. She will report to MSLO’s Executive Chairman Charles Koppelman.
Mr. Koppelman stated: “We believe that unifying our sales force will make our team more effective and efficient and, in turn, drive stronger results. Sally Preston is a talented sales professional and a strong leader with a proven track record and comprehensive knowledge of how to best leverage the Martha Stewart brand. Ms. Preston joined MSLO in April 2005 as SVP, Publisher of Martha Stewart Living and in August 2008 was named Group Publisher. Earlier this year, Ms. Preston was inducted into Media Industry Newsletter’s “Sales Hall of Fame”; MIN had previously named her “Sales Team Leader of the Year” in 2008. In 2007, The Delaney Report recognized Ms. Preston as “Publishing Executive of the Year.” She was also part of the team that Adweek named “Publishing Team of the Year” in 2006. Prior to joining MSLO, Ms. Preston held several high-level positions at other women’s publications, including Organic Style magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Better Homes and Gardens.
