Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia title named to annual “Magazines: The A-List”
(New York, NY – October 18, 2005) – Everyday Food, the digest-size recipe magazine published by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. (MSLO) has been named “Launch of the Year” by Advertising Age in this year's annual “A-List,” which recognizes the best magazines of the year. It is featured in this week's issue of the trade publication.
Advertising Age heralds Everyday Food “the small, smart guide to cooking” that combines the “stylish touch of Martha's Stewart's empire and the bright idea to go digest-size to win space at the checkout.” Advertising Age states that Everyday Food's utility is elevated by “the flair of the layouts and photography”, which it notes is echoed in other Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia magazines.
“I am so pleased that Everyday Food has received this distinguished honor from Advertising Age. Everyday Food demonstrates that meals can be prepared simply and beautifully on the pages of the magazine and on the dinner table,” said Martha Stewart, Founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. “This award celebrates the editors, art directors, stylists and the photographers who work together to make Everyday Food such a useful magazine for the everyday cook.”
“The dedicated team at Everyday Food and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is thrilled to receive this honor from Advertising Age. Our goal in publishing Everyday Food is to fill a void in the food publication world; we wanted to create a magazine that features ingredients that can be found at the local supermarket, recipes that can often be prepared in under 30 minutes, and easy cooking techniques. We are so happy about the response the magazine has received by both consumers and in the industry,” said Lauren Stanich, President of Publishing, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
“We are so glad that Everyday Food connects with readers making shopping and cooking an easier and more enjoyable experience,” said Margaret Roach, editorial director of MSLO.
Everyday Food is published 10 times a year and has a rate base of 850,000. The Food Editor is Sandra Gluck. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's other publications include: Martha Stewart Living, Martha Stewart Weddings, Kids: Fun Stuff To Do Together, and Body + Soul.
