Third Collection Features Over 100 SKUsNEW YORK, Oct 15, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- At International Home
Furnishings Market in High Point, North Carolina, Martha Stewart Living
Omnimedia, Inc.(MSO) and Bernhardt Furniture Company today debuted the Turkey
Hill collection, the third lifestyle furniture collection from Martha Stewart
Signature Furniture with Bernhardt. The new collection features 117 SKUs of
quality furniture for all the many rooms of a home, and will be available to
customers at furniture retailers nationwide in April 2004.
The Turkey Hill collection celebrates easy, comfortable living, where
rooms are multifunctional and suited for various decorating options. The
inspiration for the collection is an 1805 farmhouse in historic Westport,
Connecticut, which has been Martha Stewart's home for more than 30 years. The
collection features two bedrooms, two dining rooms, 10 home office pieces,
five occasional groups, 17 occasional pieces, along with seven new upholstery
settings. Traditional pieces have been updated in striking materials, rich
colors, and soft, comfortable fabrics that enhance gathering places and
workspaces alike.
"With our new Turkey Hill collection, consumers can enjoy modern
interpretations of classic and traditional furniture styles that offer
tremendous functionality and unlimited decorating possibilities," said Martha
Stewart, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Martha Stewart Living
Omnimedia, Inc. "Using beautiful, distinctive and practical materials -- from
lush upholstery fabrics to polished nickel finishes and porcelain enamel
surfaces -- we offer the homemaker an eclectic collection of furniture that
works in any room in any home."
With the addition of Turkey Hill, the Martha Stewart Signature Furniture
with Bernhardt line now includes three collections -- Turkey Hill, Lily Pond,
and Skylands. These collections offer consumers furniture that reflects MSO's
trademark quality, affordability, home decorating style and color palettes
that consumers desire, coupled with the manufacturing and distribution
strengths of Bernhardt Furniture. Each collection reflects a character of its
own, with vibrant colors, unique hardware, a wide variety of finishes, and
numerous, useful and sensibly proportioned upholstered pieces. Customers can
incorporate pieces from all three collections to create a personal style that
is beautiful and unique.
"Consumers have been responding very positively to the fresh designs,
scaled-down proportions and top-quality manufacturing of the first two
collections, which distinguishes the Martha Stewart Signature Furniture with
Bernhardt line within the furniture industry. We are extremely excited to now
offer consumers yet another exceptional furniture collection with Turkey
Hill," said Alex Bernhardt, Bernhardt Furniture's Chief Executive Officer.
"The ability to easily mix and match within collections and coordinate
pieces across collections is a hallmark of the Martha Stewart Signature brand
label, which also features Martha Stewart Signature paint, fabric and floor
coverings to simplify decorating for the consumer," added Sharon Patrick,
