On September 15th, Martha Stewart Throws Open the Gates of Her Bedford Farm to Celebrate the New Season of “The Martha Stewart Show”

For the First Time, Television Viewers Get Exclusive Invitation To Martha’s Homestead For Special One-Day Only Event

New York, August 27, 2008 - For the first time, television viewers will be able to visit homemaking icon Martha Stewart at the place that she calls home -- her 153-acre property in Bedford, New York. From her greenhouses and stone stables to her chicken coops, Ms. Stewart will give her fans a special sneak peek into her incredible farmstead on September 15th in celebration of the fourth season launch of daytime’s Emmy-winning series, “The Martha Stewart Show” (distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution/check local listings). Joined by over 100 guests, Martha will take viewers from one part of her modern-day farm to the next, interacting with her audience while she unveils vegetable gardens, green pastures and much more that are sure to inspire her legion of passionate and loyal fans. Throughout the season, Martha will be joined by headline-making newsmakers, celebrities and renowned chefs, artisans, craftspeople, plus accomplished viewers who will showcase their amazing talents in Martha’s studio. In addition, Emeril Lagasse, the newest member of the Martha Stewart family, will be a frequent visitor to Martha’s kitchen for informative cooking segments that will leave viewers’ mouths watering.

Beginning October 21st, Martha will introduce ‘Cooking School,’ a new weekly segment to coincide with the release of her latest book, Martha Stewart's Cooking School, which she describes as a complete course for the home cook, both novice and expert. Joining Martha in the kitchen for these highly-informative culinary sessions will be Sarah Carey, Martha Stewart Living Food Editor and “Everyday Food” TV host, who will teach viewers to roast, broil, braise, stew, sauté, steam and poach with confidence. In conjunction with the new book and segment, Martha will also kick-off ‘Martha's Cooking School Sweepstakes’ where five grand prize winners will win a trip to the show to see the first installment of the ‘Cooking School’ series. Viewers will see Martha whipping up delicious, simple and seasonal recipes for another new segment entitled ‘Dinner Tonight,’ a perfect option for the time-starved viewer.
