NEW YORK, Oct. 30 -- MSLO today announced the appointment of Gregory Barton as General Counsel and Secretary.
Mr. Barton joins MSLO from Ziff Davis Media Inc., a leading integrated media company, where he was General Counsel and Secretary for five years and served for the past three years as Executive Vice President, Licensing and Legal Affairs, in charge of running the company's global licensing operations.
Prior to Ziff Davis, Mr. Barton worked for four years as General Counsel and Secretary at Index Development Partners, Inc., a publicly-traded financial media company, where he assumed positions of increasing responsibility, including serving as head of Business Development and as Chief Financial Officer, before becoming President of the company in 2001. Previously, he served as General Counsel for three years at Alliance Semiconductor Corporation, a publicly-traded semiconductor company. He began his legal career at the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher after graduating from Harvard Law School and Claremont McKenna College. He currently is on the board of trustees of WisdomTree Trust, which oversees a family of 38 exchange-traded funds with over $4.5 billion in assets under management.
