MOORESVILLE, N.C., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lowe's Companies,
Inc. (NYSE: LOW) announced today that it has agreed to sell $550 million of
5.60% Notes due 2012, $250 million of 6.10% Notes due 2017 and $500 million of
6.65% Notes due 2037. The net proceeds of the notes offering will be used for
general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures and working capital
needs, and to finance repurchases of Lowe's common stock. Closing is expected
to occur on September 11, 2007.
