Bell & Howell and Hyundai Motor America Sign Parts Data Agreement

CLEVELAND, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Bell & Howell Publishing Services, a subsidiary of ProQuest Company (NYSE: PQE), signed a five-year data access agreement with Hyundai Motor America. The agreement renews Bell & Howell's existing contract to provide Hyundai's North American dealerships with a range of innovative electronic parts catalog systems, including Internet and CD-ROM based versions.

Electronic parts catalogs (EPC) are used by parts technicians at dealerships to quickly, easily and accurately identify needed replacement parts. Bell & Howell EPCs contain vital parts information and diagrams for a manufacturer's entire line of vehicles as far back as 25 years. The information is stored on CDs and DVDs, or accessed via the Internet.

"The Bell & Howell product is the industry standard, and we are pleased to renew our contract with this industry leader," said Frank Ferrara, vice president, Parts, Hyundai Motor America. "The Bell & Howell system allows our dealers to use just one operating system for multiple franchises."

Bell & Howell's relationship with Hyundai goes back several years, and includes the development of the industry's first Internet-based electronic parts catalog.

Hyundai is one of the fastest growing automotive companies in the United States. In July, Hyundai set an all-time sales record and reported its fifth consecutive record unit sales month. Hyundai has increased its U.S. market share 37 percent in the last year, and its U.S. dealership base has grown from 469 in 1999 to 528 today.
