SEATTLE, June 17, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, has learned of customers receiving e-mails from an unauthorized and unknown source linking Nordstrom to e.l.f. products and the website eyeslipsface.com.

Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com are not affiliated with eyeslipsface.com or the e.l.f. product line, nor with any e-mail regarding that website or product line. Nordstrom does not sell e.l.f. products.

Nordstrom is investigating the e-mails, which appear to have been the product of a party unrelated to either Nordstrom or e.l.f.

Nordstrom would not ask for customer account information through e-mail communication or by phone. Customers who receive an e-mail asking for any personal or account information appearing to be from Nordstrom, or claiming affiliation with Nordstrom should forward the information to onlinefraud@nordstrom.com.

Customers who have disclosed their account information in error or have been a victim of fraudulent account activity should contact their bank and/or credit card company immediately. Nordstrom credit card holders should call 1-800-964-1800.
