Applications available in select schools, Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores
SEATTLE, April 16, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nordstrom is pleased to
announce it is once again accepting applications for the annual Nordstrom
Scholarship Program, now in its 14th year.
Nordstrom will award $10,000 scholarships to 40 high-school juniors from
across the country. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding community
involvement, scholastic achievement and financial need. The scholarships will
be paid in equal installments over four years.
The scholarship program is available in the following Nordstrom regions:
-- Los Angeles, Calif.
-- San Diego, Calif.
-- Bay Area/Sacramento County, Calif.
-- Alaska/Washington
-- Northern/Central, New Jersey
-- Chicagoland/DuPage County, Illinois
-- Atlanta, Georgia
-- Washington, D.C./Baltimore & Metro Area

Diversity Affairs. "These students, many of whom face tremendous obstacles,
represent the best in academic achievement and community service."
Scholarship applications must be postmarked by May 31, 2008 and are now
available in high-school guidance offices within participating regions as well
as Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores. Winning students will be selected by a
committee of local community leaders and will be honored at an awards ceremony
within their community.
