As President of the Retail Segment, Tom Liston leads Humana’s Senior Products division, which includes all Medicare products sold to individuals; the HumanaOne division, which includes benefit plans for individuals and families; and Retail Sales, which includes a portfolio of products distributed by Humana’s MarketPOINT organization. Tom is also a member of the Executive Team, which sets the strategic direction for the company.
Prior to his appointment as Segment President, Tom led Humana’s Senior Products area, including Medicare Advantage plans, Special-needs plans, stand-alone prescription drug plans and Medicare supplement products. Since joining Humana in the mid-1990s, Tom has held a series of leadership positions. Prior to leading Senior Products, Liston was responsible for the Strategy and Corporate Development division of the company. In that role, he directed Humana’s strategic planning, merger and acquisition, and venture capital related activities. He also served in a variety of financial leadership roles, including corporate controller. Prior to joining Humana, he was a CPA and partner with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
Tom has served on the board of directors of several venture portfolio companies and non-profit organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky.
