CHICAGO, Jul 15, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq:HSII), the world's premier executive search and leadership consulting firm, has appointed Todd R. Monti as head of the Private Equity/Venture Capital Practice.

Monti, based in New York, will oversee the practice, which includes 125 consultants in 48 offices.

Monti, 37, joined Heidrick & Struggles in 1999 through the acquisition of Sullivan & Company, where he was a member of the firm's Financial Services Practice. His search practice includes private equity at the investment professional level, as well as senior-level finance in the financial services industry. Prior to this appointment, he coordinated private equity search activity in the Northeast U.S. region. Prior to joining the search industry, he spent five years in fixed income capital markets in institutional sales. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from Boston University.
