MEMPHIS, Tenn., June 8, 2007-Hampton (www.hampton.com), the national brand of more than 1,400 mid-priced Hampton Inn® and Hampton Inn & Suites® hotels, opened 15 properties in May 2007-representing 937 new rooms. The new openings include five Hampton Inn hotels and ten Hampton Inn & Suites properties. All openings are franchised newly constructed hotels.

"We remain on pace for a record-setting year of brand development," said Phil Cordell, senior vice-president, Hampton brand management. "With the opening of 15 Hampton hotels in May, we will be able to reach guests in regions all across the United States bringing them the value and friendly service they demand from a Hampton hotel."

"In May, we also continued to see growth from our Hampton Inn & Suites product which accounts for more than two thirds of our pipeline in 2007," Cordell added.

From a product development standpoint, Hampton recently announced it has achieved full implementation of its new bedding package, "Cloud Nine.
