Career Education Corporation (CEC) (NASDAQ: CECO), a global provider of
postsecondary education programs and services, today announced that Dr.
Deborah A. Snyder has joined the organization as Chief Academic Officer
for the Career Schools Group.
Most recently Senior Vice President of Academic Programs for Strayer
University, Snyder will oversee the development of new academic programs
and the enhanced quality of existing programs for the health, culinary,
design and technology programs for the 75 Career Schools campuses. The
group includes, among others, Le Cordon Bleu, Sanford-Brown Colleges and
Institutes, the International Academy of Design and Technology,
Briarcliffe College, Brown College and Harrington College of Design.
Snyder has a long history of higher education experience and was a
pioneer in the adoption of online platforms in higher education. She
previously held academic positions at Capella University, University of
Michigan at Flint, Michigan Virtual University and Walsh College.

Snyder holds a PhD in Communications, a Master’s in Business
Administration and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, all from Wayne State
University in Detroit.
