Ameron Announces Quarterly Dividend

PASADENA, Calif., Sep 23, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Ameron International Corporation (NYSE: AMN) today announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share of common stock, payable November 15, 2011 to stockholders of record on October 3, 2011. Under the terms of the previously announced agreement and plan of merger, dated as of July 1, 2011, by and among Ameron, National Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NYSE:NOV) and NOV Sub A, Inc., if the closing of the merger occurs following October 3, 2011 and prior to payment of the quarterly dividend, the unpaid dividend will be payable as of the closing date of the merger, to Ameron stockholders as of the record date of the dividend. Ameron expects the merger to close on October 5, 2011, after approval by Ameron's stockholders.
