The corrected release reads:

AMERON CONFIRMS RECEIPT OF DIRECTOR NOMINATION PROPOSAL

Ameron International Corporation (NYSE: AMN) today confirmed that it has received a notice from Barington Capital Group, L.P., an investment firm based in New York, that it intends to nominate two individuals for election to Ameron's Board of Directors at the Company's 2011 annual meeting of shareholders. The annual meeting is scheduled to be held on March 30, 2011. Barington indicates that it owns 1.3% of the Company's stock.

The notice has been forwarded to the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Company's Board of Directors for review, and the Company will respond in due course.
