|Ameron Announces Appointments to Board of Directors
| PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 2002--Ameron International Corporation (NYSE: AMN) today announced three appointments to the Company's board of directors. Joining the Ameron board of directors are: David Davenport, Thomas L. Lee and Dennis C. Poulsen.
David Davenport is a Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution and is past President of Pepperdine University, Malibu, California. He holds a B.A. degree in International Economics from Stanford University, 1972, and a J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law, 1977.
Thomas L. Lee is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Newhall Land and Farming Company (NYSE: NHL), Valencia, California. He graduated from Denison University, Granville, Ohio, with a degree in Economics in 1964 and received an MBA from Stanford University in 1970.
Dennis C. Poulsen is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rose Hills Company, Whittier, California. He holds an A.B. degree in economics from Stanford University, 1964, and is a graduate of the Hastings College of Law, J.D., 1970.
James S. Marlen, Ameron's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "These new directors bring a wide range of skills and experience to our existing quality board of directors. Ameron's board of directors will now total nine members, eight of which are independent directors. Mr. Marlen represents the only Ameron executive on the board.
