On June 29, 2012, the Company completed its previously announced plan to separate its land and transportation businesses into two stand-alone, publicly traded companies:

  • Alexander & Baldwin, Inc., ("New A&B") a premier Hawaii-based land company with interests in real estate development, commercial real estate and agriculture that will be traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "ALEX"; and
  • Matson, Inc., a leading ocean transportation company serving the U.S. West Coast, Hawaii, Guam, Micronesia and China, and a top ten domestic logistics company that will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "MATX."
