MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 30, 2009--

and secretary for Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE:GCI). Mayman has been the

“Barbara’s role as our guardian of the First Amendment is legend among
our journalists. She is their champion and a voice of reason. But she

“Kurt has been a great asset to Gannett in his time here. His knowledge
of First Amendment law and broadcast issues were crucial to the
company’s advancement during this time,” Dubow said. “Nevertheless, we
truly understand the lure of his new position and wish him all the best.”
