MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today named Skip Foster president and publisher of the Tallahassee (FL) Democrat. He will assume his new role on January 12, 2015. Foster was previously publisher of the Northwest Florida Daily News in Fort Walton Beach, along with overseeing four other publications.

"Skip is a talented, creative leader with a proven track record of success," said Michael G. Kane, east group president for Gannett U.S. Community Publishing. "We look forward to Skip joining Gannett and guiding the future of the Democrat, the trusted news source in Florida's capital."
