First Day of School Photo Sweepstakes
Capturing photos of little ones on their first day of a school is a must, and this year Macy’s is offering a chance to win a $500 Macy’s gift card for sharing those special photos. From Aug. 13 to Sept. 11, customers can visit Macy’s Facebook page at macys.com/facebook to upload a photo of their student, aged 5 through 10, on the first day of school. Five lucky customers will each win a $500 Macy’s gift card.

Teen Vogue Back-to-School Saturday
Saturday, Aug. 10 has been designated Teen Vogue Back-to-School Saturday, a one-day shopping extravaganza for the best deals on everything for back to school. At select Macy’s locations nationwide, shoppers can enjoy a showcase of the hottest fashions for fall, sweet treats and lively music while shopping their favorite brands. Pretty Little Liars
Macy’s will make a special appearance on ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars,” one of the most social shows on television. During integrations of the retailer’s fashion offerings in the Aug. 13 and Aug. 20 episode (check your local listings for ABC Family), some of the cast members can be seen dressed in the latest looks from Macy’s. On Aug. 13, fans will have the opportunity to live-chat during the episode with Shay Mitchell (“Emily”) through the “Pretty Little Style File” Facebook application found on facebook.com/prettylittleliars. Radio Disney and the Disney Channel
Macy’s is joining forces with Disney to get customers excited to go back to school through sponsorships of a variety of Radio Disney programming features including the daily entertainment report “Celebrity Take with Jake” and in-store meet and greets with “Austin & Ally” stars Raini Rodriguez and Calum Worthy, as well as artists featured on Radio Disney’s “Next Big Thing.

At this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival, the band will play alongside the biggest talent in music. American Rag on Tour 2013 presents Megan & Liz
Macy’s exclusive brand, American Rag, is hitting the road with 2012’s iHeart Radio Rising Star winners Megan & Liz on a cross-country concert tour to get kids pumped to head back to school. During their 26 city tour, Megan & Liz will perform an acoustic session for fans at five Macy’s stores. Macy’s and Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) enter the 10th year of a partnership that will deliver its 10 millionth book to children in need through the Be Book Smart campaign. The campaign invites Macy’s customers coast-to-coast to give $3 to help provide a book for a child in their local communities. Now through July 21, customers who make a $3 donation to RIF will receive a coupon for $10 off an in-store purchase of $50 or more, and Macy’s will donate 100 percent of every $3 ticket to RIF.
