Avid Showcases Effects and Editing Solutions at SIGGRAPH '98
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 21, 1998--Avid Technology, Inc., NASDAQ:AVID; Booth #1379) is showcasing its industry-leading effects and editing offerings for video and film post-production. Avid is also demonstrating integration between its solutions, which allows editors and artists to work in an all-digital nonlinear post-production environment that streamlines workflow and improves efficiencies.

"SIGGRAPH '98 is really a 'coming of age' party for Avid's effects solutions," said Avid's Jim Melvin, director of product marketing. "We're demonstrating why Media Illusion has staked its claim as a top effects solution for high-profile films and television projects, and we're giving attendees a look at a number of new effects solutions introduced earlier this year. SIGGRAPH also marks the first public showing of Avid Symphony, our new high-end television finishing system, since its NAB introduction. And, we're giving artists and editors a chance to see how these best-of-breed solutions can be used together to share digital media across projects and workstations."

Designed specifically to meet the needs of the feature film market, Avid Masquerade software provides control over complex compositions which makes animating, transforming and painting any layer or group of layers fast and intuitive. Avid Masquerade will currently be available this fall.

Version 7.5 of Avid Matador
