1.How many employees does Luminex have?
 As of February 23, 2012, Luminex had a total of 614 employees and contract employees.

2.Can I purchase stock directly from Luminex?
 Currently Luminex does not offer a direct stock purchase program. Shares of LMNX can be purchased through a registered stockbroker.

3.On what exchange is Luminex traded?
 We trade on the NASDAQ Global Market System, under the ticker symbol LMNX.

4.Does Luminex pay a dividend?
 We have never declared or paid cash dividends on our common stock and while this policy is subject to periodic review by our board of directors, we currently intend to retain any earnings for use in our business.

5.Where is Luminex incorporated?
 Luminex was incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas in May 1995 and began commercial production of our Luminex 100 System in 1999. We reincorporated in the state of Delaware in July 2000.

7.What does a transfer agent do?
 Transfer agents maintain stock registries for their client companies, such as Luminex Corporation. They issue and cancel stock certificates, resolve issues around lost or stolen certificates, and answer questions from stockholders about their accounts.

8.What is the difference between a registered stockholder and a street-name stockholder?
 You are a registered holder if you are in possession of a stock certificate. You are a street-name holder if your broker holds your shares in an account for you.

9.I’m a stockholder and have moved and need to update my mailing address. How do I update my address?
 If you are registered stock holder, please contact our transfer agent, Computershare at 1-866-635-6965. If you are a street-name holder, please contact your broker.

 Luminex Corporation will hold its 2012 annual meeting of stockholders on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., Central time, at its Corporate Headquarters located at 12212 Technology Blvd., Austin, Texas 78727.
