B/E Aerospace Advanced LED Cabin Lighting System Delivered on First 737 Boeing Sky Interior

WELLINGTON, Fla., Oct 27, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

B/E Aerospace (Nasdaq: BEAV), the world's leading manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior products and the world's leading distributor of aerospace fasteners and consumables, today announced the first aircraft delivery of a Next-Generation 737 with the new 737 Boeing Sky Interior, which features the B/E Aerospace advanced LED cabin interior lighting system. This innovative B/E Aerospace supplier furnished equipment (SFE) system is standard equipment on all Next-Generation 737s delivering with the new interior.

The B/E Aerospace lighting system is the most technologically advanced aircraft interior lighting system available today, and plays a critical role in the new 737 Boeing Sky Interior. This innovative all-LED system reduces overall aircraft weight and power consumption. It features adjustable lighting with full spectrum color capability, providing superior cabin ambiance and unprecedented breadth of lighting color and control. Studies have provided conclusive evidence that cabin illumination significantly enhances passenger comfort.

"We are very pleased that the first 737 Boeing Sky Interior has been delivered. We look forward to continuing our long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship with Boeing," commented Amin J. Khoury, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of B/E Aerospace. "This award is part of our strategic "OEM direct", or SFE, focus to substantially increase our revenue content per aircraft. The value of the SFE awards which the company has won currently totals in excess of $2.65 billion, only a very small portion of which is included in the company's current booked backlog. Our current record backlog of approximately $2.85 billion, along with unbooked SFE awards, totals approximately $5.5 billion and provides us with excellent visibility with respect to future revenue growth."
