(NYSE:AZO), the nation's leading auto parts retailer and a leading distributor of automotive replacement parts and accessories, announced today that it has been awarded the Automotive Parts and Supplies contract for the State of Kansas as part of a multi-vendor award.
After a competitive analysis, the State of Kansas Department of Administration made the decision to adopt AutoZone's contract offering for the State of Kansas contract #11770. The contract award will allow state agencies and local municipalities in the State of Kansas the opportunity to realize the cost savings provided on all of the products offered under the AutoZone contract. The contract commenced on January 1, 2009 with a 3-year term that expires on December 31, 2011.
