Rayovac Announces Annual Meeting of Shareholders

MADISON, Wis., July 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Rayovac Corp. (NYSE: ROV) announced today it has scheduled its Annual Meeting of Shareholders for Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at 8:00 a.m. CST at the Company's world headquarters, 601 Rayovac Drive, Madison, Wis. 53711.

Holders of record of the Company's Common Stock at the close of business on June 8, 2001, are entitled to vote on all matters presented at the 2001 Annual Meeting. At the meeting, shareholders will elect directors, approve the 1997 Rayovac Incentive Plan, as amended, and ratify the appointment of KPMG LLP as the Company's independent outside auditors.
