Rayovac Denies Allegations

MADISON, Wis., June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The law firm of Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach issued a press release on May 31, 2002 announcing that it had filed a lawsuit that day in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin alleging that Rayovac Corporation (NYSE:ROV) violated certain federal securities laws during the period from April 26, 2001 to September 19, 2001.

While Rayovac has not yet seen the complaint, the company believes the allegations are without merit and will vigorously defend itself in this matter.
