MELVILLE, N.Y., July 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC) today announced its donation of 4,000 Welcome Kits for people staying at American Cancer SocietyHope Lodge facilities, which provide free temporary housing services in locations across the U.S. for people receiving cancer treatment far from home and their loved ones. This is the tenth year Henry Schein has supported Hope Lodge through the Welcome Kit program.

Each welcome kit contains personal hygiene products and related items, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, hand sanitizer, skin cream, mouthwash, a multi-wire charging cable, and a personal journal. The company's donation, conducted with the support of 16 of Henry Schein's supplier partners, is an initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the company's global corporate social responsibility program.

"For 10 years, Team Schein has been pleased to join American Cancer Society and Hope Lodge facilities across the country in providing a few comforts of home to patients fighting cancer," said Stanley M. Since the program's inception, Henry Schein has donated more than 21,000 Welcome Kits to Hope Lodge facilities. The American Cancer Society will distribute the kits at 32 of its facilities throughout the year.

Henry Schein's supplier partners that have donated products and support to the Hope Lodge Welcome Kit program in 2018 include: 3M, Air Techniques, Coltene Whaledent, Crosstex, DenTek Oral Care, Erskine, Healthlink, Hello, Office Depot, Oral-B/Crest, Rowpar Pharmaceuticals, S&W Manufacturing, Septodont, Sunstar, The Natural Dentist, and Welch Allyn.
