Waleed Ahmed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Mubadala Development Company. His primary responsibilities are to oversee the operational and business development activities of Mubadala. These include Mubadala's international acquisitions in addition to business building across a broad range of sectors: Energy, Industry, Infrastructure, Healthcare, Aerospace, Technology and Real Estate.
Prior to Mubadala, Mr. Al Mokarrab worked with the UAE Offsets Group as a Senior Projects Manager. He brought with him a wealth of experience from McKinsey & Company where he worked as a Consultant, advising on a range of industrial and governmental projects.
Mr. Al Mokarrab serves as the Chairman of Yahsat and Mubadala Infrastructure Partners, as well as being the Vice Chairman of both Tabreed and Leaseplan. He is a Director of du, Piaggio Aero, Zonescorp, Injazat Data Systems and the Khalifa Fund to Support and Develop Small & Medium Enterprises.
Mr. Al Mokarrab is the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development and also serves as the Chairman of Musanada, the Abu Dhabi General Services Company, and is a Trustee of the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research. Mr. Al Mokarrab holds a Masters from Harvard University, USA, and a Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, USA.
