Webster Bank Hires New SVP Commercial Real Estate in Boston

Boston, Mass., February 28, 2011 – Webster Bank, a leading New England financial institution, has hired Claudia Piper of Winchester , Mass., as senior vice president, commercial real estate. She brings more than 20 years of experience to the position and is based in Webster's Boston flagship office at 100 Franklin Street.

Prior to joining Webster, Piper was a senior vice president at Capmark Finance, Inc., for six years. Capmark Finance is a commercial real estate finance company in Boston . She has also worked in commercial real estate for Key Bank, Corporate Realty Investment Company and the former Fleet Financial Group, all in Boston . Piper is also a founding member and former managing director of Beacon Sports Capital Partners, LLC, a start-up investment consulting firm serving the professional sports industry.

Piper serves on the board of directors for Winchester A Better Chance and is a volunteer for the Pine Street Inn. She attended the London School of Economics, holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from Cornell University.
