WATERBURY, Conn., March 21, 2012 --- Webster Bank is pleased to support the 2012 Yale School of Management Education Leadership Conference.  A special reception, remarks from Governor Dannel P. Malloy and a panel discussion will take place on Thursday, March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. at the Omni Hotel 155 Temple Street in New Haven, Conn.  The summit itself will take place on Friday, March 23rd starting at 9:00 a.m. (also at the Omni Hotel) exploring The State of Education, Now to 2032.

Jeff Klaus, regional president at Webster, will introduce the Governor on Thursday evening.  The Governor will outline his educational reform proposals to 700 guests slated to attend. The Yale Education Leadership Conference is the largest education reform summit in the country and this year’s event comes at a time when topics such as closing the achievement gap and school budget concerns are grabbing state and national headlines.  Statistics show that in the next 10 years, there will be more jobs in the area of math, science, and technology so there is a need to prepare the students of today for the jobs of tomorrow.
